Random

Hello!! It has been pointed out to me by my adoring fans (Nikki) that I don't post often enough, that's cause I usually forget that I even have a blog, so here's a new post!

I've been fairly un busy the past week or so, so I decided I really needed to focus on some of my hobbies! Like Knitting, I have decided to knit each of my lovely aunts a lovely scarf for next christmas, (Nikki, don't tell your mom) they will all be different patterns and a different colour, and I am starting in March cause that's about how long it will take me having never attempted lace before. I also ordered yarn to make the February Lady sweater, I have three reasons for doing this:

Reason 1:
I've been eyeing it for a while, and since it's February, I thought what the hell, let's try it.

Reason 2:
I freeze my butt off at work, I work with a bunch of guys that must run really hot cause I can be wearing 3 layers and still be cold and they will complain if I turn up the heat.

Reason 3:
And likely the most influential reason...The Yarn Harlot's doing it. I am a huge fan of hers, she's intelligent, and hilarious, and Canadian (which is extra awesome). Seriously, google her (cause I can't figure out how to post links) when I first discovered her blog I had to go all the way back to the first post and read them all,
the mind boggles at some of the stuff she knits and the speed with which she does it.

And if the previous paragraph didn't make seem like a raiving fangirl, wait till I tell the most exciting thing I heard last week, THE ROLLING STONES are going on tour this YEAR!!! WEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I'm very excited, and I WILL see them in concert, in the best seats I can possibly afford, or sell my soul to get. And I've managed to convince myself that I am not the only 20 something in the world to find them terribly attractive (my proof is that my sister, who is even younger than me feels the same way, and the fact the Ronnie Wood is getting groiny with a 19 year old).

I also joined twitter, but I can't figure out how to hook the durn thing to my phone, or link it to my blog so that's gonna be slow going, oh well.

Anyhoo, look forward to future posts and pictures of the yarn I bought for my February Lady sweater (mines commercial yarn cause I don't have the Harlots mad fibre skills), and the lovely bit of lace weight I bought for my first attempt at lace.
